Ramadan is only days away when Nabila receives an anonymous note. But the note is not telling Nabila the writer hopes she'll enjoy Ramadan. The note writer claims to know a secret about Nabila that will ruin her; and the note ends with a threat: "I know your secret, Nabila, and soon the principal will too."

Nabila wastes no time: she hires Khansa', the academy's reluctant girl detective, to find out who sent the note. But the anonymous note writer has no intention of letting Khansa' ruin their plan; they start using secret codes to encode messages that lead to evidence against Nabila that they've hidden in different places on the campus of the academy.
