Learning to read is hard work. You Are Here!, a beginning reader for boys in year 1-2/ grades 1-2, is designed to help boys succeed at one of the most important tasks they will ever encounter in school. Intentionally designed to help boys start their academic life with strong literacy skills - the factor believed to be the single strongest indicator of academic success - You Are Here! will, insha'Allaah, offer effective support as you work to prevent your child(ren)/students from struggling with a skill that will serve them their entire life biithnillaah. What's inside:

• beginning sounds work with relevant, unobtrusive picture support, to help build strong phonemic awareness;
• blends work with helpful but unobtrusive picture support, to aid in the development of strong phonics skills;
• 19 high frequency words/ sight words presented in isolation to aid in retention and acquisition (recommended to teach only 2-3 words at a time); 
• high interest stories and poems (with captivating illustrations) that incorporate the sounds, blends, and high frequency words learned in the first sections of the book, allowing students to experience rapid success with independent reading insha'Allaah.
